Alba Contreras was born in Venezuela but moved to Boston when she was 9. Being undocumented did not stop her from dreaming to go to college or going to law school. Today she is a mom of two, a Latina lawyer who helps Latinx lawyers build their own law firm on their own terms. This is her story.

Sona Nambiar was born in India but has lived in Dubai for at least 25 years. She calls herself an accidental journalist. She went from working woman to wife and mother to a single mother and entreprenuer. She talks about how she was able to transition to those roles and how taking naps and friends who are like family(framily) helped her cope. Orlenda was born in Guatemala and came to the US when she was 10. She did not realize she was undocumented until her senior year of high school. From findng scholarships for college to racking up a credit card debt to finally paying off her debt while helping her mother create an emergency fund, Orlenda helps women of color get outof debt and negotiate.
